I just saw From Hell that Jack the Ripper flick with Johnny Depp. I'm a big fan of Depp (cant wait to see Secret Window ;D ) but I wasnt too crazy bout From Hell...what did you all think of it? - EL Lobo  |

I loved it! Johnny Depp is a greatr actor. His accent in From Hell; Owwww Baby! There are a few mistakes in the movie; like wearing a watch and stuff, but who pays attention to that??? Akasha  |

Johnny Depp is one of my favorite actors, but Heather Graham had a horrible Irish accent. The gore was really cool though..  |

I didn't really think it was anything too special, to be honest. "Murder by Decree" is a Ripper movie that is a 100 times spookier.
Johnny Depp's a good actor, but if he beats Sean Penn or Bill Murray to take out the Oscar for "Best Actor" next week at the Academy Awards, I'll be quite shocked! And if the Academy doesn't give Peter Jackson the Oscar for "Best Director", I'll be even more shocked!!

Yeah, I think you'd like it, De. It's an oldie but a goodie. Donald Sutherland has a nice spooky little role in it . . . and it never deteriorates into a Benny Hill skit (a la The "Last House on the Left" cop scenes!) ;D
