When it comes to horror,Personally I much more prefer low budget indie films. Give me karo syrup and guys in latex suits any day. Big budget FX laden films often turn out disappointing...What do you think?
Good Example.. The Haunting (1999)- Big Budget..cool FX and thats bout it The Evil Dead- Low Budget and the whole movie is incredible (even the fx!)

I'd say High Budget IF they spent less on trying to do CGI and spent more on hiring better actors.

I can't answer that. It doesn't depend on the budget to make a good horror movie, it depends on the people that make it. A huge budget movie can end up a piece of shit because the people that make the movie think a big budget magically makes a good movie. However, most Low Budget Horror Movies are made not for profits, but because the people that made them WANT to make them because they love horror movies and really want to make a good movie, unlike the big budget filmakers make the films for the money. There are many good big budget horror films, but low budget horror is made by true fans of the genre.

I personally don't care about the budget as long as the film is good. Right, Bub? ;D

low budget. look at halloween. cost like, 30,000 dollars and made 50 million. with low budget movies (expecially in horror movies cases) they need to rely on the imagination of the viewer, and the suspense, the score, and the camera angles and lighting.

I really dont think budgets really matter, it depends on how well it was written and so on.
