I just saw Hellraiser: Inferno, the most abused film in the series, and I actually liked it a lot. It was a very interesting film about a man's decent into his personal hell.

I didn't mind Inferno either, its not as bad a people say it is. Sure its different to the previous films, but that doesn't mean it cant be a good movie.

What annoys me is the fact people pan Inferno simply because Pinhead is only in for 10 minutes. That's no reason to give a movie a bad rating.

I tend to like the oddballs of horror series a lot, like Halloween 3, NOES 2, and Hellraiser: Inferno. I don't see why they get badmouthed so often.

...because most fans like the films for their main characters and not the films content of acting, story etc
You could throw any well-known horror character like Freddy, Jason, Myers, Pinhead or whoever into a Tom Cruise action movie and still have people watching it no matter what.

Sad but true. It just shows how many mindless horror fans are out there waiting to pick up any shit that has gore, one-liners, and a popular character.

I don't think that's exactly the right way to say it. Really, everyone is different. Looking for the easiest explanation, and it's very true, (at least for me as just one person) I either enjoy a movie, or I don't.

Well, that's kinda how I see some franchises (Friday the 13th). Just my opinion.
