This movie is a japanese style movie, and the japs can make pretty funny movies. Its not only funny, its pretty entertaining.
The story goes that the underwater sea world of aqua-something, wants to take revenge on mankind for polluting their oceans, so what do they do, they send the giant insectoid, Megalon.
So the earth sends Godzilla to go fight Megalon, and they fight, and fight, and fight some more, until Godzilla stands victorious.
The fight is pretty cool, I especially like the part where megalon slits Godzilla's shoulder, and blood goes flying in every direction, dude is this Kill Bill, or is this Godzilla?! I mean the blood was like a hose.
Overall this movie was pretty good, and It one of the greatest Godzilla movies.
