The Shining by Freddywise

I think this movie is a masterpiece. Kubrick's version of The Shining is better than King's version of the book. Jack Nicholson does some of the best acting I have ever seen. That role fits perfectly in him although Shelley Duvall sucked. A mixture of suspense and inspired psychological (?) horror makes this movie one of the best horror movies ever made. The sound is creepy and makes you shiver. I hate the academy awards for not even awarding this movie at least one award.

A Great review for a great movie, but i cant say that the movie was as good as the book.

Definitivly, but I like the "Heeeeres johny" part that doesnt is on the book. Alson in the book is a maze not an Ax.

But the movie is missing heaps of parts, the Stephen King the Shining Film had alot more but still wasn't as good as the original Shining movie.

That was the problem with Stephen King's Version, but atleast in King's version we got to see the scenes in more depth.

Yep , you're right. Kubrick's version also is more SCARIER than King's version...the music....the blood in the elevator...the guest...
