I found the Beyond listed as 7 doors of death and bought it for 6 bucks on DVD. Not bad.

Oh crap, you know that the 7 Doors of Death version is severely mangled and edited with a new score, right?

Both films are great. However, I fear that Lucio Fulci's films may be an aquired taste. If you fancy gore, than you'll love him. However, there are times when his films are nonsensical and the plot jumps around a bit. Don't get me wrong, I love Fulci's work, he's just not for everyone. Yet, if you have not seen a Lucio Fulci film, I reccomend you do so.
My top 3 Fucli films:
1- "Zombie" 2- "The Beyond" 3- "House by the Cemetary"

I really don't mind gore. I don't need gore in movies, but if it's there, I'm fine with it. I like horror in my horror films, gore or no gore.

Gore is always a nice additive. These new films dont come anywhere near the gore of the seventies or eighties. Even the remakes shy away from the gruesome gore of their original counterparts. I miss old school Gore. And Titties. Gore and Titties. Or Gory Titties!
