Plot:A small 18th century village is haunted by strange beasts that live in the woods which surround their town which they built after running from society to create their own.
Review:alot of hype was created for this movie and when i went to see it i had hoped that it could live up to it. M. Night Shyamalan is my favorite writer/director and so i was pretty confident that this would be a good movie. Much like "Signs" the movie right awy starts of with an exciting part.the suspense and mystery was probobly the best part of the movie though not the scariest for i was dissapointed of the lack of fright in this movie. The only scary parts would be when we got to see the actual beasts and i guess the best word to describe them is freaky.I was also glad to see that there were only a couple slow parts though a little disapointing they still added to the characters which was good. towards the end a big secret is revealed which really dissapointed me but in the end an even bigger secret is revealed which makes up for the first secret and leaves me satisfied.
Overall review:All in all this was a pretty damn cool movie though not much of a horror, and the ending just blows you away , i never saw it coming. So i recomend covering your ears and running away if a friend trys to ruin it for you.

I'm not going to ruin it...it's just, that although the big twist was unexpected it simply didn't hold enough impact to me. Shyamaln's weakest in my opinion.

I have to admit that I really liked "The Village". However, I must also say that have seen many a people say they totally disliked it, so I am one of few I guess. I think it's not as good as "The Sixth Sene" or "Signs", but that's sme weighty comptition; I felt it was better than "Unbreakable" though.
All in all, while I may have been thrown for a loop, compared to my expectations, I am still overall very pleased.
