Ryuhei Kitamura's debut film is simply put... genuis. Think Commando meets Evil Dead. Sounds great doesn't it? While it is, Kitamura knows how to make a movie from its opening shot. Versus holds your attention, and excites you. it grips you unbelievably tight. The acting is hard to judge. you can judge an actor in a dubbed movie by the way they hold themselves, and their body language. While there are maniacs, hard nosed bad asses, and awsome villians. The Action is fluid and fun as hell, also the movie is a laugh riot that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The gore is plentiful, and the bullets fly. Plot: Two fugitives escape into the woods and while meeting up with their pick up, Something goes horribly awry and drives them all into the woods... See this damn movie Not for its characterization or plot (which is good) but for the bad ass action and hilarious jokes. 10/10

I suffered such a tough decision at Blockbuster...it was either Versus or Cronos. and being a big Del Toro fan I went with Cronos (which was fantastic, I'll submit a review soon). Versus is next on my list!!

A really good film though the ending doesn't sit well with me.
Overall, 3/4.
