The history part seems so real.....very well done.......the "period" sense feels like a mega budgeted Hollywood epic even though I know this is an indie film that must have had limited resources.....
I liked the two Romanian actors -- Monica Davidescu and Emil Hostine. What great performances. I don't think any western or American actor could have done what they did with those Romanian characters. I wonder if they're doing any other international films? They're both awesome.
The locations seemed to be just amazing. I heard they actually shot in the real castle that Vlad the Impaler was imprisoned in for ten years. What a place! You can really feel the age -- the way the walls are, a studio set would never look that way, at least not unless you have an unlimited budget to make if "feel" so old.
