Am i the only one who likes it when the main stars and director submit a commentary track on the DVD? As popular as DVD's have become, you would think they would be essentials and be on all your favorite releases! Stop giving us commentary from the fuckin Boom mic guy and the guy who did catering! Fucking studios!

I like commentaries but only usually bother listening to them on films that I really, really enjoy. Pffft, I've had Blade 2 on DVD from the first day it was released and I've only looked at a couple deleted scenes on that 2-disc set.

Commentary is only good when some famous people are the commentators, if the commentator is a nobody i can't be bothered to even use the commentary feature.
Director commentary is usually the best.

I love audio commentaries! They're the best when done by the right people...

When audio commentaries are good, they're great.

How can they be good if they're great? Shouldn't they be great if they're great?

How can they be good if they're great? Shouldn't they be great if they're great? It's an expression, I guess. I'm saying that when audio commentaries are good, they're usually BETTER than good. However, when they're bad, they're usually REALLY bad.

I enjoyed the Evil Dead 2 commentary. I need to listen to the Army of Darkness one sometime.

Army of Darkness's commentary was entertaining. I don't remember a ton about it, but it was good to my knowledge.

Commentary can be very interesting sometimes, depending on the movie of course. I usually like to watch the commentaries from time to time.

I like most commentary's myself. I always like hearing some of the behind the scenes stuff or sometimes when the writer is doing it, I like to hear some of his inspiration....

I never listen to the commentary. I haven't even watched all the extra's on the NOES dvd's. The bloopers, deleted scenes and alternative endings are the only things I enjoy.

I just got the Return of the Living Dead 2 dvd and it has the actor who played the bully kid on the commentary, along side the director, he was such a nobody it was funny. He couldn't really do much more than narrate the story and talk about how it was his one and only movie credit. Now, commentary from a low level star or boom mic operator's assistant on a movie like Gigli where they can't talk about anything but how bad the movie is would be gold.

Meh Im a commentary purist. When a disc has mmultiple commentaries I gotta hear em all. Considering I got the Return of the King extension and it has 4 commentary tracks for a 4 hour film...Im gonna be busy for a while!
