i recently purchased prince of darkness on dvd, when i wartched it i thought it was scary, although not many other people do what do you think on the matter?

I think it's a pretty freaky ass flick but then again I have never watched it sober. I think movies are better when your stoned and Prince of Darkness is a good argument for that, another Carpenter classic.  |

Prince of Darkness is a very underrated film. I certainly found the movie to be interesting, suspenceful, and intense, but was it scary? As a whole, no. However, there were certain moments that creeped me out. Like when they showed a far away shot of a bag lady praying and then quickly showed a close-up of fire ants crawling on her face. I dunno, that was somewhat creepy. (Spoiler coming up) Overall, I thought the movie was cool - it had a cool concept of how Satan might bring himself into our world. Too bad he didn't succeed, that would've been fucking wild!!

I thought the movie was pretty bad-ass! It's pretty freaky how the zombie-like people try to spew green fluid in your face. Pretty cool movie.
