Personally I think jason won. Sure people say he got his ass kicked in the actual fighting aspect but the way I see it Freddy has say 1000 hp while jason has 10,000 hp. Where freddy's numerous hits knocked off 9,999 of jasons health, jasons few attacke nocked off 999 of freddys. It all evens out by the end. Plus freddy doesnt last as long as jason. Freddy is beheaded and assumed dead right. it shows freddys head sinking into the water. then it shows jason blink before slipping under the water himself.

Jason is the winner. No matter what people say, Freddy would have died with or without Lori chopping his head off. Jason gave him a fatal wound. Jason on the other hand, wouldn't have died. He just went under and healed up. All those wounds inflicted on him and still it wasn't enough to kill him.
Freddy blinking was an anomoly. The writers just threw all of freddy's mythology out the window just to keep the Krueger fans from raising hell. This was more an insult than anything else.

DRAW - Jason can't die, so he sleeps . . . that allows Freddy access to him . . . Freddy has influence over Jason and gets him to carry his head to safety . . . Freddy will regrow a new body . . . and now everything's back to square one again . . . In other words sequels, sequels, sequels . . . . (and more lame pop singers appearing in the films so as to extend the target audience to include the singer's established fanbase - ergo: more tickets sold and more money made and more happy executives. Although the producers/directors know that the films suffer artistically when these profit-optimising, crossover-entertainment casting decisions are made, they don't really care because the Almighty Dollar means more to them than their integrity!

Aaarrgh!!!!!!!! I said it before and I'll say it again: D-R-A-W. DRAW!!! The word means 'an equal outcome'. Neither character won, and neither character lost, they DREW. That's my opinion.
You yourself say that "The way I see it Freddy has say 1,000 hp while Jason has 10,000 hp. Where Freddy's numerous hits knocked off 9,999 of Jason's health, Jason's attacks knocked off 999 of Freddy's. IT ALL EVENS OUT BY THE END (my emphasis)"
Now if you want to statistically analyse the fight using your points system above, then that's fine by me. BUT IF THAT'S HOW YOU WANT TO DECIDE THE OUTCOME, THEN FREDDY WINS AND JASON LOSSES.
That is, Jason sustains 99.99% damage and only has 0.01% health remaining, while Freddy sustains 99.90% damage and has 0.10% health remaining at the end of the fight. Clearly, if your points method is adopted, then things do NOT even out by the end - FREDDY WINS as he has sustained relatively more damage than Jason and has relatively more health than Jason at the conclusion of the fight.

ah but those statistics are from the initial fighting not including the impaling of freddys arm into his body or his decapitation which ultimately took him out of the picture.
