I recently saw two versions of the Evil Dead DVD at Best Buy. There was the original for 12$ and the special Book of the Dead version for 30$. I'm usually strapped for cash so I was wondering if the Book of the Dead version is worth the extra money. Thanx! - El Lobo ;D

How Pricey? Evil dead is an awesome movie and is worth quite a bit alone but is it dvd and what special features does it have? Sometimes they'll charge you like 50 bucks and the only extras are the origional trailer and a commentary by the catering company.

The Evil Dead special edition dvd is worth it for the special features alone. It has a half hour featurette with Bruce Campbell discussing the films and his relationship with Sam Raimi. Aside from that there are makeup, storyboards, trailers, also the dvd cover book is full of artwork by the original artist. It also contains a pretty lengthy pamplet.......Hopefully all this will help ya out  |

Yeh I had to trade in an old DVD to Blockbusters to get FvJ for 13$. I traded in that old Whoopi Goldberg flick Burglar. My mom got it outta the Walmart bargain bin for 5$ and told me to just trade it in! What a deal! ;D

*Several Easter eggs (I'm not sure what they are)
* Lenghty insert booklet
* Limited Edition collector's case
All for 35$ which I finally have! ;D Cant wait to get it.
