Honestly, I couldn't care less. Really, the director isn't important to me. I especially hate the followers of drectors who go crazy when a crappy movie directed by their favorite director is out. Honestly, they can make a good movie at first, then make a shitty movie. The director really doesen't matter.

In some cases the director is important, it depends on how talented they are.

From the following horror directors I liked:
John Carpenter: They Live, Prince of Darkness, The Thing Lucio Fulci: City of the Living Dead, House by the Cemetary Tobe Hooper: The Funhouse Wes Craven: The Hills Have Eyes George Romero: Dawn of the Dead, Martin Ruggero Deodato: Cannibal Holocaust Dario Argento: Suspiria
Others...
Jorg Buttgereit: Schramm, Nekromantik Stuart Gordon: Dagon, Re-Animator, Castle Freak Sam Raimi: Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness Peter Jackson: Dead-Alive, Bad Taste
Anyway, the director i like the most is John Carpenter.

I'd rather look at all the good films Carpenter has produced before he went on a slump with crap like Vampires and Ghosts of Mars.
The Funhouse was a good movie, dude. You're the blind one.

The Funhouse was a good movie, dude. You're the blind one. It IMO, was horrible. Horrible acting, the main character(The jock.), DIES, even though he was the only useful character besides the nerd(The only part that scared me was when the jock guy accidently killed the nerdy character with an AXE. The axe stuck to the guy's head was damn creepy.) who also died. The women were annoying, their screams hurt my ears. And the villians blowed. An alien in a Frankenstein outfit? Some dumb hillbilly hicks to boot make this a very shitty movie all the way.

1) John Mctiernan.
He directed Predator! Therefore he rules!
(I don't know any other movies of his, but still.)
2) Wes Craven 3) John Carpenter
Those would be next in place.

in my opinion, "Funhouse" was OK... nothing special, and easily not one of Hooper's better films...
