At the request of Derailer, I have compiled info on various horror icons and their confusing plots.
All of this stuff is taken directly from the films, I have tried not to fabricate anything, so here goes-
**SPOILERS AHEAD**
Highlight to see--
--Leatherface and all of his "relatives"--
There is a secret organisation known as the Illuminati, a large satanist group. They control most of Texas, serial killers, things like that. They move Leatherface around so their schemes can be put properly in action. In TCM 1, Sally Hardesty was attacked by Leatherface's family, she killed the hitchhiker and escaped, she died 3 years later. After the events of TCM 1, Chop Top returned and the events of TCM 2 happened, the rest of Leather's family was wiped out, and the W. E. Sawyer was arrested and taken to the gas chamber. Now, Leather was all alone, so the Illuminati placed him with another group of killers, these are the guys from TCM 3, the little girl was taken away in a police car in the end of TCM 3 but that's not important. In TCM 3, all of Leather's new family are killed so the Illuminati put him with another group, the loudmouth morons of TCM 4. The Illuminati show up in TCM 4, and Elmer does work for them, the reason they do this with Leather is all part of an elaborate plot to make the victims, such as Sally, better people, and that is all part of an even more elaborate plot to take over the world, don't ask me, ask the writers of TCM 4. As for the appearance of Sally Hardesty in TCM 4 neat cameo at the expense of continuity, nothing more, nothing less.
--Michael Myers and the curse of the Thorne--
Another evil group I'm afraid. These guys sacrifice people to a little chap they call "The lord of the dead", not Baron Samedi mind you. Now, for some reason, the only sacrifices that count are those that are family members of the one with the curse of the Thorne. The group mainly consists of Doctors and political figures. The doctors randomly selected Myers to get the curse. Now, Myers is six years old, he's just been cursed, all of a sudden he goes quiet, he knows the only thing to make this curse leave is to kill off all his family members.
-What the curse does-
The curse of the Thorne is supposed to make the cursed bigger and far stronger and very very angry, the cursed also cannot die until all their relatives are dead and for some reason, the cursed know this. Also, the cursed are only activated during a certain star formation, which ussually happens on halloween.
In H20, everything that happened in the previous movies happened, except Myers had different motivations, after killing all of his family members in part 6 (Assume he got the baby because he's Michael), the rage wouldn't have gone away, so he would have known to have kept looking. It was just coincidence most likely the he attacked Laurie's son on the 17th birthday.
--Jason Voorhees--
Extremely basic, but the movies do contradict eachother and create alternate universes. Bad continuity cannot be explained away without creative thinking, and in turn will probably end up being fabricated. So I'll just give a basic history of Jason for the newbies.
Jason supposedly drowned as a child, according to part 2 he simply went off and lived in the woods while his mother went insane, and according to the others he is a resiliant zombie, demon of veangance, moron with a pillow sack on his head and so forth. JasonX has him as a human who can regenerate.
