Bring on a sexy Halloween remake! Count me in. I know exactly what shorts you mean, Chucky. They piss me off... they remind me of Kevin Bacon in Friday the 13th. First thing they have to work on is Michael's mask.

Hell no, leave Halloween the fuck alone. It's good enough as it is without some money-grubbing clueless douchebag remaking it.
Same goes for the other movies. Movies are only being remade mostly because people can't come up with their own shit, and if you can't do that, quit.

But someone did remake Halloween the way Chucky suggested, most likely the majority of fans of the older Halloween films would hate it. Most fans of movie fanchises do not like major changes.

I see nothing wrong with remakes.
Unless your doing it with no love or info of the movie.
You must have some understanding of where the movie comes from.
Why they did what they did the first time around.

I've heard about the "Fog" and "Assault on Precinct 13" remakes. I'm very wary but I guess that as long as Carpenter himself (he is my very favorite film-maker) is involved they might not be TOO bad.
I'm stunned and appalled (although not that surprised, in all honesty) to learn that there just might be a "Halloween" remake. Is that all Carpenter is going to do now? Relive his old glory days by supervising modern versions of his old classics?
I guess it's proof positive that good, original ideas are hard to come by these days.
