Really, the whole remake thing isn't just horror, everytihng is getting re done now, from fashion to tv to movies, its all recycled garbage hoping to be retro because thats so hip these days. Hollywood, for the most part, lacks originality, and its a shame with so many talented actors and directors around. Saw ans Shawn are fresh rays of hope for the horror genre at least, but the entire spectrum is fading fast. There are more fresh rays of hope, just look at jeepers creepers, the fvsj series, bubba ho tep and wrong turn. Darkness falls may also one day be a good franchise, who knows. |

I actually think horror is pretty strong right now... we're getting several pretty damn good films. Yes I agree, I see the remake numbers climbing. Yet, I think that's not going to be so bad. Take the good remakes with the good new films, and I think horror is going to be on the up in the now and near future. I hope to God not...I am holding out some hope that with Raimi and Campbell involved some smart choices will still be made...

Well, to be realistic, Bruce is getting up there in age and hes got a gut, I just dont thing he would be as effective...that beings said, this movie has bad news written all over it.
