What are everyone's thoughts on "Day of the Dead", and score out of 10 (no .5's please). Please remember a score out of 10.
Widely regocnized (at least generally speaking) as the weakest of George A. Romeros "Dead" series, "Day of the Dead" was a kick in my ass when I first saw it. (you can read more in depth about my opinions with my DVD review) The film is intense, claustrophoic, brilliantly directed by Romero, and a pretty damn good story too (and it flows well too). The acting is pretty solid, especially by Richard Liberty (and Joe Pilato as well). Tom Savini is a genius, a pure genius (plus on this film he grooms up-and-coming gore maestro Greg Nicotero). Savini's special effects in this film, possibly the best ever (if it's not, it's really freakin' close). In the end, this is one of the best (and favorite) horror films I have ever seen.
My Score: 10/10
Scores will be collected until Monday, when we talk about week #7's film.
Week #7 Film: "28 Days Later"

I never agreed this was the weakest, I think they all have great points to them, as they progress you get the overall feeling of hopelessness.
By this one, the humans have all but given up. They know it is just a matter of time. Yet, they still fight up until the end, this is the end of the world as they know it and they still feel fine..Sorry couldn't resist.
I always enjoyed this movie, without good writing, directing and acting the sense of hopelessnes would not have been there, I mean the first is a classic, not saying otherwise but I think this is still a strong moive and really is a great "end" to the trilogy, while it is still a trilogy.lol
8/10.

I like this one more than the original Dawn Of The Dead mainly for the gore but I'm still not a huge zombie fan even though I do own this movie on DVD.
7/10

Obviously, my username says it all.
I love Day of the Dead just as much as Dawn of the Dead. There is a bit too much bickering in the script, but the acting is on par and intense, the FX are incredible, the direction is stellar, and the story and meaning of the film are strong.
10/10
