Sorry if there's already been a thread on this movie. Anyone like it? I did. It oozes cliche, which is prolly why I like it. So if you like that sort of thing, then this movie is for you. It's got your loser, your bully, your sex scene... etc. My fave kill was **highlight**[when Cropsy jumped outta the canoe and did in those stupid kids on the raft. Damn I love campy movies!

For once I'M the one who's seen the movie. I got this one on hire at my local rental store. I thought they had a relatively crappy selection. In comparison to others I've been to that is. They got some good ones though, like The Fog and The Blob (original). It takes awhile for the killing to begin in The Burning, but when it does, all is good. Tom Savini worked with this film, which I'm sure will lure some ppl into seeing it.

I'm no longer anxious to see it, but if it's on the shelf, I'll be sure to pick it up.

I own the full uncut version on DVD. Imported from the UK. The movie is decent for a slasher but the only thing that really stands out in the movie is how violent it is and a young Jason Alexander who I personally could care less about. Also Holly Hunter has a very brief role in the movie before she gets her ass gutted.
I also managed to rent this at a local Video Ezy early this year (or was that late last year?). Either way, the point is that a video store here had it too but everytime I go to that horror section now, the video is always missing. Maybe they shipped it off to another store.

I do want to see this movie, if for no other reason than to see some more of Savini's work...

It gets far too much for what it's worth on other forums. It's ok, but it's among those slasher movies that were imitations of the original Friday the 13th. Although I did happen to love the boat/dock scene.
