The Phantom of the Opera.
(No, I'm not a "Johnny-come-lately" to this film, I've been in love with it before the shitty remake idea was even a twinkle in the writers eyes)

The Phantom of the Opera. (No, I'm not a "Johnny-come-lately" to this film, I've been in love with it before the shitty remake idea was even a twinkle in the writers eyes) I personally cannot wait to see the Andrew Lloyd Webber, Joel Schumacher version..... though the original Lon Chaney version is pretty damn good.... but to answer the question: "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre"

The Phantom of the Opera. (No, I'm not a "Johnny-come-lately" to this film, I've been in love with it before the shitty remake idea was even a twinkle in the writers eyes) Good pick. The Chaney version is still a masterpiece. Personally, my favorite horror film ever is The Thing. I will never tire of watching that film. Runner ups are The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (74'), Bride of Frankenstein, The Invisible Man, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, Nosferatu, The Phantom of the Opera, Day of the Dead, NOES, Halloween, Alien, Hellraiser, and Hellbound: Hellraiser 2.

The Phantom of the Opera. (No, I'm not a "Johnny-come-lately" to this film, I've been in love with it before the shitty remake idea was even a twinkle in the writers eyes) They need to stop making remakes of all of these classic movies . Anyways... my favorite horror movie is Halloween.

They need to stop making remakes of all of these classic movies . Anyways... my favorite horror movie is Halloween. Sure this is a remake... but I think it's OK, because they're doing something totally different with it.... they're making it a musical (opera) version using the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber (not to mention dark and brooding director Joel Schumacher on the helm).... it's not like they're just rehashing the same movie..... besides I'm still not totally against remakes anyway... look at "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" ('03) and "Dawn of the Dead" ('04); sure they're not as good as the originals, but I still really liked them... plus it's obvious that 50% of movies right now are remakes, so we should just roll with the punches and hope that they're good....

I'm starting to believe that people who remake movies should get the death sentence. Not the injection though, that's way too quick. My favourite horror movies are The Exorcist, A Nightmare on Elm Street and An American Werewolf in London.

You call the man who directed "Batman and Robin" dark and brooding? no, I call the guy who did: "The Lost Boys", "Flatliners", "Falling Down", "A Time to Kill", "8mm" (especially "8mm"), and "Phone Booth" dark and brooding....
