John Carpenter, Sam Raimi, George Romero, Tobe Hooper, John Landis, and Hideo Nakata are teaming up! The parent company of Anchor Bay has commissioned a series of horror films by these directors, aptly titled "Masters of Horror". The directors will each be given a budget of $1.5 million to make any movie they desire. The only caveats: they must use the same crew, and they must film in Vancouver.
John Landis will be filming the first in the series. The films will be released on DVD unrated. Gore and suspense are expected to be plentiful.

Sounds pretty cool, so is this going to be similar to Creepshow or something?

Sounds like a decent idea. Sam Raimi is off my favorite directors list after this "Evil Dead Remake" (are they still doing it) shit he pulled, but Carpenter, Landis, Romero, and Hooper working on films gives me a bit to look forward too. Who is Hideo Nakata?

Who is Hideo Nakata? He sounds like some Japanese horror director, i'm not sure what movies he has made though.
