What Are your favorite horror movie scenes?

I like the part where Tina gets her chest slashed open
I also like it when Nancy says to Freddy, Your Shit...

Nightmare On Elm Street 2:
I like it when Freddy attacks every one at that party and says "You are all my children now..."

Nightmare On Elm Street 3:
I love the part where Freddy turns this one guy into a puppet (march of the bloody puppet) and when he kills him, Freddy makes it look like suicide.

Nightmare on Elm Street 4:
When Freddy says "Elm Street's last brat... Farewell" and when he throws Kristen into the boiler he says "Now noone sleeps" I love that.

Dream Child
When Freddy says "Faster than a bastard maniac, more powerful than a loco mad man, its.... Super Freddy! Told ya comicbooks was bad for ya!"

Favorite Horror Film Scenes-

The Shining- Staircase
The scene where Shelly Duvall discovers that her husband is off his rocker and where he comes from behind is fantastic. Nicholson's dialouge is infinately quotable and his delivery is perfect. A favorite of mine.

The Thing- The Defribulator Scene
Wow. The scene is so shocking and unexpected that it elevates the tension to a marvelous level. Bottin's effects are absolutely incredible. The designwork for The Thing itself seems like something only Cronenberg would do.

Alien- The Chestburster Scene
Audiences certainly weren't expecting that. The intensity of the scene is elevated by the fact there is no music in the background.

Halloween- Falling Down
The scene where Michael's face appears slowly in the dark is proof of the film's amazing use of atmosphere. Truly a great achievement from a low budget film.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre- The Hammer Hit
When Kirk walks to the door and he trips and he looks up, seeing Leatherface, you see a several second shot that is completely, utterly silent just showing Leatherface lifting his hammer over his head. This is the last thing Kirk sees through his eyes. And the silence makes it so much scarier.

A Nightmare on Elm Street- The First Dream
When the first girl is killed in the Dream World, it's a fantastic scene all around. Nothing to complain about, really.

Candyman- The Menatl Institution
The scene where Helen is talking to the psychiatrist and he's killed from behind is an excellent scene, even better because it lacks music.

Day of the Dead- The Opening Scene
In Day of the Dead's opening scene, we see how decimated and hopeless the future of mankind really is. And the first zombie seen is absolutely disgusting. Great opening.

Zombie- Zombie Conquistadores
The zombies rising from the ground is straight out of an EC comic book. It's a classic image, used here to the greatest effect. The makeup is also magnificent.

Hellraiser- The Hospital
When Kirsty opens the box in the hospital, the Cenobites, the lighting, and the images on the TV couple together to make a truly unsettling scene. Sound effects and music are really effective here.

Hellbound: Hellraiser II- The Insane Asylum
The scariest scene in Hellbound actually doesn't have a damn thing to do with the Cenobites or Hell. When Channard walks along the cells, looking in each one, the patients really come across as insane, and it's a really creepy as hell scene.

Hellraiser: The 'Jesus Wept' scene.

The Shining: Little Danny turns a corner and sees the twins.

Event Horizon: "Hell is only a word, the reality is much much worse. Now let me show you". He lays his hands upon the guys forehead and shows him.

Pumpkinhead- The Old Church
When you see Pumpkinhead shadowed through the door of the church, it's a cool as hell and extremely well done shot. It leads to one of my favorite scenes, Pumpkinhead picking up the cross and sneering at it.
