I was watching American Psycho on Tv today, and noticed the ending is really similar to Evil Ed & Cemetary Man. Anyone else see the resemblances? [glow=red,2,300]Spoilers!!![/glow] Bateman is on a Killing Spree, yet everyone around him is idiotically clueless it is him! When was the novel written? Maybe the former two movies are the plagarists.

The novel was written by Bret easton Hills, I have a copy of it. The novel it's not the best well adapted., and the final it's kind of diferent in the movie. I don't think it's plagiarism.., just superstitions..

What was the ending to Evil Ed anyway? I turned off that lousy movie 10 minutes before the end.
Anyway, on the inside of my Paper-back copy of American Psycho it says, "A Vintage Contemporaries Original, March 1991, First Edition. Copyright 1991 by Bret Easton Ellis".
So, I guess it was published in 1991.
According to IMDB.com Evil Ed came out in 1997 and Cemetary Man came out in 1994. There is your answer. The films have similar conclusions, but they are vastly different in most or all other aspects so I don't see this as being outright plagerism. You might as well accuse The Sixth Sense of ripping off Jacob's Ladder and Jacob's Ladder ripping of Carnival of Souls simply because they have similar conclusions.

And i accuse you of using the overdone "Everything is a ripoff of everything else" excuse!
I just wanna know if everyone else sees the similarities. Evil Ed DID suck.

Bateman is on a Killing Spree, yet everyone around him is idiotically clueless it is him! That's what usually happens.

Idiotically being the key word here.
