This sounds like exciting news I just read on Ain't It Cool: www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=19068"Today, the trades reported that Dimension forked over $3.5 million for an Australian Horror-Suspense film entitled WOLF CREEK, based upon an infamous serial killing case in Australia known as 'The Backpacker Murders'. My understanding is the film has been taken from elements of these murders, and is not in fact a recreation of them. However, from what I hear - the film is flat out scary as hell and doesn't drop the ball in the last act like several indie horror films of late"Sounds sweet!! Hey, Chucky, you heard about these killings in Australia? I haven't, even though the guy says they're "infamous". Glad something like this has come by because lately the serial killer sub-genre has been at an all time low with straight-to-video garbage like Gacy, Ted Bundy, and Dahmer. Lets bring back the good ol' days of Maniac, and Henry.
