Friday the 13th
The original, but not best. It's got a body count I can enjoy, and a nice "Who the hell is it?" mystery. However I did think the end fight was too long. I just don't think it needed to be that long. This movie had it's good times, but overall I must say it wasn't that good. Though it also wasn't really a let down either.

Friday the 13th Part 2
This is a better movie, I think. Jason returns, but this time... to kill. The murders are better, the feel of the movie is better... and I like the killer much better. Alice's return was the right thing to do. I also really enjoyed the few scenes in Jason's little shack out in the middle of those woods.

Friday the 13th Part 3
Even better. Yes, this series seems to be going up hill instead of down. Jason gets his first hockey mask, and also racks up a nice body count. This is one of the best, I say. The barn scenes were great, and so was the basic feel all around. This may be your average slasher flick... but it's way of getting things done gets it a high score.
9/10
The Final Chapter
Not quite as good as the one before, but still okay. The title isn't as misleading as you may first think. In this one, Jason's tough human form finally dies... by the hands of a little boy. Hehe. This movie's feel wasn't as good, but the body count was decent. I really like the fact they actually continue with the series instead of just dropping everything before.

A New Beginning
What a peice of garbage. It's complete bull as "Jason" stalks another group of teenagers at some house for bozos. Yes, but that's where all the idiotic teenagers in the series belong, isn't it? Anyway, I really gotta' say this movie blew. The body count is okay... but what's that matter when you can't get the other stuff right? I hate this movie!

Jason Lives
A lot better than the one before. In fact this is one of the best "I'm sorry about before" presents there is to offer. Feel? Outstanding. Body count? Just great. Jason nearly wipes out another group of teenagers, and battles his old enemy in a firey water duel. This installment is complete fun. A great example of a great slasher.

The New Blood
A damn fine attempt to out-do the one before, but even though it couldn't do it... this movie is still a damn fine attempt. Jason looks a little different but who wouldn't after that showdown. Now, as he plows through the new teens, he finds someone else who may be able to take him down. A telekentic girl, who can really dish out the pain if pushed hard enough. The fight between the two was well done, and I really did enjoy it.

Jason Takes Manhattan
This installment has gotten a lot of heat, but I think it's one of the best. You see, I remember this one when I was little. The feel? Outstanding. The body count? Just great. Jason kicks some seriously cheesey ass! I really want to take on the big apple myself after watching this. A rooftop rumble, a sewer flooding, a subway pursuit, and a couple seconds of staring at a mirror. Or maybe it was a billboard. Bottom line, I love this movie!

Jason Goes to Hell
Jason is back from Manhattan, and it looks the best here. Hell, all you needed was some toxic waste. Speaking of Hell, Jason really has it in for him. Going through hell after going after an intruder. Jason's first encounter leaves him... in peices. I really loved that opening. The rest of the movie was him traveling from body to body. I don't really like that concept... but who cares when everything else is as great as it is? Duke was a great character, smart mouthing everyonce in a while. The end was well done. I really liked that backyard duel, and I really must say I enjoyed the theme. Very cool movie!
10/10
Jason X
Jason gets frozen, and then is brought back quite a few years later by the sound of two teens getting it on. The body count was great, the feel was as great as a space movie can be, and it really is a fun movie. But, even with that said, the concept was horrible. The best way to screw a series is to send the character off to space. Sure it was fun, and sure is was just a brighter version of every other one in the series... but because it was that bright of a movie, and because it was in space... it gets a low score.
