While from its opening sequence, the movie has a tense atmosphere, with dark undertones that are blatant at the same time. That made sense to me, anyone else? While the creepiness is a bit of a downfall, because it gets kind of repetitive. The acting is great, and the effects are great...EXCEPT for the CGI which is so painfully bad it made me want to gouge out my eye-balls at points. I'd also like to say i hated the original but after the viewing of this awsome movie i plan to rewatch the orgiginal (only this time it wont be the "vesrion you've never seen before" ) The movie is all around an enjoyably-creepy-good time. Also there are references to the original if you have a good eye or memory. Character development is fantastic, and i found myself really caring for the people, The movies end will keep you utterly glued to the screen. This movie is so good it could be a stand alone.

The hyenas tearing a kid apart was cool. Dead maggoty babies. Pazuza was cool to see again.

That part with the hyenas was probably the most surprising part(probably cause it happened all of a sudden, and you didnt know it was coming). And then the Pazuzu parts were good too(even though it was only like 7 minutes, lol) |

What the hell did you just say?
The movie did drag, but i put myself in the mindset that it was going to be a dull paced film, so when i saw it, i expected a slow paced film. So it worked out fine for me. Pazuzu was the highlight and the gore was nice.
