Ok... What to say, what to say. I liked the first one, classy stuff, lotta fun, I can say that about this one too... AH FECK! IT HAS NO SOUL! It felt like a straight to video release, on a very big budget.
Resident Evil: Apocalypse kicks off right where the first ended. Alice is outta the hospital, the dead are walking as the newspapers say and Alice is filled with matrix-camera angle inducing powers. Random survivors group together to escape town but soon, various members get hunted by the lovable nemesis, which by the way had the coolest entrance ever. Now usually I am the last person to complain about this but christ, these characters had no soul, there was no character development, I was just watching fight scene after fight scene, and it kinda hurt. There are the odd plotholes but thats just dandy with me.
For fans of the game, Nemesis will not disappoint, but for fans of all the other characters- this will not be accurate, turn all your previous RE game knowledge off, you should be ok. That being said, RE:A is a very very pretty movie, take each shot and scene in at a time, you'll have fun. This movie is the lord of Style over Substance, I'd vote it el presidente.
For fans of the games, this movie might piss them off, characters, info, holes just fill this, for fans of movies, this movie doesn't deliver, for fans of mindless action films, by all means, go, watch, enjoy. 5.5/10

Indeed, love the action.I do agree that they could have made it 10 or 15 minutes longer for a little character developement but it is still good even without it.

I'm not going to specifically refer to any movies in particular, but yes I think a lot of movies slammed at FE are IMO worth seeing. I try not to take anyone else's opinion on any movie get to me, but sometimes I get annoyed that people are so close-minded about some films. In a nutshell, what I'm trying to say is, movies don't have to be supposed classics (eg. The TCM) in order to be worthy of our attention and even *gasp* liked. Then again, I'm one of those people that tend to get something good from almost every movie they see. I guess some people are just more critical than others.
*Waits for the FE backlash*

Yes Boogeywomen this is true, even the ones I say you should stay away from, some people liked. If you look at them in a cheesy way, if you like stuff with a HIGH HIGH cheese factor you might like stuff like Terror Toons and Camp Blood.

I didn't like it but it was bad enough to stand out so if you like really cheesy movies you might like this one.

I found lots of good stuff in each of those films. IKWYDLS had a cool vicious killer, Scream was fun and Valentine had a few good kills. And they all had hot babes.

one thing i dont understand is why people hate newer horror flicks like scream,i know what you did last sumer, valintine ect... Scream and IKWYDLS were teeny bopper horror and just felt like teen dramas, which is why I disliked them. They felt too family friendly to be horror and never really focused on scares. The killer in IKWYDLS was cool and Scream was fun, but I didn't like them.
