A 80's slasher flick but with some differences to the formula. Its hard to tell if it is trying to be campy, stupid, and fun or a serious horror by folks who had no idea what they were doing. Either way I found it to be so bad it was good. It is hilariously bad to the point where you have to watch like a car wreak or any accident for that matter.
Involved in this story is a killer in a Richard Nixon mask, who is credited as being Ronald Reagan, the college students who in this story are researching a German ex-patriot rocket scientist. Which does not realy make sense as only one is a rocket scientist in training...sorta. The others have trouble just speaking in English. At one point, one of the students even says you should be more careful, you could have blowed us up..or something similer, the blowed us up part is what I remember.
As for the murders, well we have one who has a "mishap" with a garden tool and walks around with it stuck in their forehead. Two crazed brothers, one who is a complete moron, and the other just a moron.lol. The second one is a Doctor or at least goes by the name Dr. Mabuse and is sure he has brain parasites? Thats right, you figure it out.
The main problem comes witht he fact the movie jumps around with no real direction or plot to speak off. Characters pop up and then disappear for no reason. They come in to get killed and found later by main people. You never care about them or why they were killed. You don't really get a chance to follow what is going on and therefore the movie never really grabs you.
Don't get me wrong, in the hodgepodge of the movie there are some truly creepy and surreal moments, which are good, I won't ruin them here but they are there. But there are just as many things that just happen with no explaination at all. The soundtrack music, while weird, but fits the movie. It ranges from instrumental surf music to pretty blatent Alice Cooper rip-off's.
Overall the movie was not bad. I enjoyed most of it but maybe not for the reasons they wanted me too. The killer is not that great but the characters are so stupid you have to enjoy them. Its worth a look if you have the time and enjoy strange movies.
