This slasher from the 80's gets alot of its scares from other movies like it. But it is better then alot of them I think, it tries to give you a mystery and make it harder to figure out who the killer is.
The basic outline of the story is about a group of soroity girls who want to throw a party, one last one before the "real world". But the mean, controlling sorority mother won't let them and wants them out by a certain day. Which you will discover the reason to later, so the girls decide to play a mean prank on the lady, lead by the meanest of the girls who is really pissed.
The prank goes array and the sorority mother is killed. So the girls call the cops...No wait, they wrap the body in plastic and dump in in the dirty green pool out back. Then decide since she is dead anyway, to throw the party.
The murders start soon afterword, the weapon of choice being a sharpend cane, there are some rather cool deaths and when the girls go to see if the body is still there, it seems to be missing. Did the sorority mother return or is there someone or something else out there?
I liked that it tried to give a twist and that there was a rather clever backstory to the whole thing, one of the better slasher/dorm/sorority movies IMHO. Any one who is a fan of the Driller Killer series or movies about young coeds being murdered for being dumb should check this movie out.
I won't spoil the end, I want yall to see it. The ending is good and the idea was a nice try and plan.
