This is one of the best short films that I have ever seen, it twists and turns and just when you think that you have it all figured out guess what you don't, this is one of the first films in a very long time that actually had me a little flustered, I thought that it would be just another short film but it is alot more than that it is a testament to all short filmmakers that you can make a good intelligent short film on virtually no budget at all.
The film stars Ariana Albright and James L Edwards.
The film is about a serial killer that's in hiding and one of his past victims that he didn't finish off. Well needless to say Annica C Court (Ariana) is a little pissed off about her past run in with her would be murderer and she does not intend to let him go unpunished, so she hunts down his hiding place and then makes her move possed as the local Avon lady, once she is in the the lair of serial killer Omar Qwest now posing as a man named Dell Griffith (or is he?) then some really strange things start to take shape. I don't want to say anymore cause I don't want to spoil this gem for anyone, so see it.
You can find this short film on a movie called Gutpile in the special features, Gutpile is 2000 Sub Rosa title and can be purchased through Sub Rosa's web site or at cons where they are vending.
I've Killed Before was writen by James L Edwards and Ariana Albright and was produced by Ron Bonk and Matthew Jason Walsh, directed by Matthew Jason Walsh.

Hmmm, I'm not too much into independant films, mainly because I have ADD. I do however own Eating The Sun and The Tenement. Actually, I did review the DVD of " The Tenement".

I think that you will get a real kick out of this one De, Gutpile also has another short in the special features that is really good called Stumped, a short film about a hand model who loses one of her hands, I like Stumped alot too, I think that it's because Debbie Rochon is in it, i love her work and man she aint to bad on the eyes either, she is hot hot hot.

Most of the films that I watch and love are shot on mini dv, wich is what alot of filmmakers these days are turning to cause you don't have to pay processing fees and you can watch your daily's when your done filming by simply hooking your camera up to a dvd player or vcr, but one of my favorite films or my fave I should say was shot on vhs in the early 80's Splatter Farm. You should give some of these films a chance Chuck you may be surprised.

Well, the independant films I'm talking about usually don't even get put up on IMDb. Splatter Farm is on there, though.

I just can't stand most independant horror films mainly because of acting... also maybe for other things but mainly acting.
It's like me grabbing my friends and telling them to act, it'd be funny... but not good for an audience.

Believe it or not even company's like Troma have great actors involved in some of there projects, but I can see where your coming from. But again some of these films will surprise you, so before snubbing your nose at all indie film check out some classic titles like Tromeo And Juliet, Terror Firmer and the list goes on and on. I have so many indie films that it should be a crime, one of passion I should say.
