I wasn't expecting a lot with this film. The premise alone is pretty weak: lesbian ex-lovers, going on a camping trip to celebrate one of their birthdays; slowly they all end up getting killed off. Yawn, nothing new here. So yeah, I was expecting much, and I didn't get much, however, it was slightly better than I thouht it'd be.
The story is stupid. Why all these women would all get together is beyond me, but they do. The acting isn't horrible, but it's just barley passable. All they really do, is bitch and whine about each other one minute, and then the next minute they're flirting with each other, dumb. Not to mention that this film is pretty predictable. I honestly had my guess for the killer within the first 10-15 minutes (and it ended up being correct). Maybe it was luck, or maybe the script was crappy (you decide).
The gore is one positve note, though it's by no means impressive. The effects, while nothing stellar, are quite primative, and yet, petty good. Not a whole lot of blood, but that's OK I wasn't expecting a whole lot. The music was pretty bad. It was like really bad computer music(not quite MIDI, but not much better) at times, and at others it was just bad (and the music used during the "sex" scenes was somewhat reminiscient of your average porn music, only crappier).
The one thing this movie really had going for it (the lesbian aspect), they messed up. Now if you make a movie about lesbian ex-lovers going camping, you should be expcted to deliver the goods (if you know what I mean, and I know you do). Now that's not to say that this film lacks sex and nudity, because it doesn't. However, all they really do is show some boob for a couple seconds, and then show hands rubbing naked flesh (like hips, and outer thighs). I think my girlfriend summed it up best when she watched a little with me, I explained the basic outline to her, and she said: "With a movie about lesbians, shouldn't they have gotten hotter girls, or at least ones with bigger breasts? ... look that one's only got nipples!"
