JAWS 2 is a reasonable sequel to a high-concept classic that does at least have one of the most potent taglines ever attached to a movie.
It is three years after the events of JAWS and a couple of divers encounter the wreck of the Orca, the boat used in the climax of the original, lying at the bottom of the Amity shoreline. One decides to take a picture of the other, but are rudely interrupted by a new Great White. In the ensuing melee, the camera accidentally catches a shot of the shark in it's lens....
Director Jeannot Szwarc does his level best to maintain the suspense and atmosphere of the original film and there are some great performances, notably from Roy Scheider as Brody and the late Murray Hamilton as the Mayor. Other virtues are the return to the music score of John Williams, doing a similar orchestration of this as Jerry Goldsmith did with the RAMBO films. There are also some memorable jump moments.

I agree, it's a decent sequel. The tagline is also fantastic. Actually, the tagline is probably more famous than Jaws 2 itself. Good review.

I liked this ending with roy banging on the pipe and roasting Jaws once he bites down on it.
