I just saw this movie today, and let me just say.... It's simply amazing. It is easily, without any doubt at all, the best movie I have ever seen. It is quite violent, but it's not gratuitous and overall the movie was extremely emotional (at least for me). I suggest to anyone who thinks they can handle a lot of violence to see this movie. Christians and non-Christians alike (I am not a Christian), as it a truly great film...

I usually steer clear from religious movies. Not because I am religious but mainly because they're just plain and boring. You can learn more about Jesus by watching Bernard & The Genie rather than watching one of those older films which attempts to depict the happenings of how Jesus was crucified.

De . . . I saw it today (the movie, not De's wart for godsake!) and I didn't think it was anything too special. After all the hype I guess I was expecting a lot more. I've heard all these stories of people walking out of the cinema in tears, blown away by what they've just watched. But to be honest, I wasn't moved by it at all. If you already know the story of Jesus (and most people do), then this film really doesn't have anything too new to add. For me, it was like watching someone do one of those connect-the-dot puzzles. I'd really like to hear what other people think (especially after Wes saying ['It is easily, without any doubt at all, the best movie I have ever seen'./i] Man, that's a huge, huge call to make! It wouldn't even make my top 1000). Anyway, it was a bit of a yawnfest for me, but go see it guys and let us know what you think.

I wouldnt say Im super religious, but i value my religion a lot.I went to see that movie 2 sundays ago and it wasnt really a shocker for me because Ive read the gospels and I fully expected to see jesus being whipped and beaten ad spit on.But I never expected it to be that intense.I cried from beginning all the way until I got home, and even then I was still cryin. That movie was an eye opener for me.But I'd never see it again, I was precticley screaming and hollering the whole movie. It was a one time thing. But Id definiatley show it to my children.I prayed for hours on end after I got home.
