I heard thsi somewhere..."no matter what movie, it seems that if you gross more than 100 million, theres gonna be a sequal"...that being said Cheaper by the Dozen is getting sequalized...does that mean Passion of the Christ will get a sequel??

I would hate to see a Gladiator 2 made, i liked the movie Gladiator but i would hate to see a bad sequel made which most likely would happen.

I don't see the Passion of Christ getting a sequel. However, other Bible movies are likely.

Yeh me neither i was kinda joking about that...it seems that horror films and movies about superheroes are the ones with the high sequel counts!

Sequels are a mixed bag. Even if you feel a sequel would tarnish the original, there is still the chance of it surpassing or matching the original film. I dont mind a sequel as long as it offers something new and is a continuation of the characters from the original. When a studio replaces the characters, it pisses me off to no end. Kickboxer is a good example. The original hero was killed off at the intro of kickboxer 2 and that pretty much is like the studio spitting in your face. Alien 3 is another. James Cameron gave us characters we loved like Newt and cpl. hicks, only to have them unceremoniously killed off in part 3. That really pissed me off! As long as the sequels continue to improve on the story and characters we love, they will have me lining up at the theater.

As long as the stories can keep on getting better or atleast stay the same i'll be happy.
