what's wrong with "The Passion of the Christ"? You don't understand it yet? The only reason it was made, was to make Mel money. Whoope doo, Jesus gets nailed to a cross, nothing I haven't read about in a book. The Jews are evil, I GET IT.

He is right. I think they tried to make the film as contreversial as possible. Any Christian really knows the story allready. I haven't seen the film, but I shall.

I am not christian though, so I don't necessarily know the story. I'm also afraid that I didn't find the film at all controversial. It is my opinion that the vast majority of the people who find it to be so are looking far too deep into the film. Many also came into the movie (in my opinion) with a pre-conceived notion that they were going to hate it. All of this is of course just my opinion.
I'd also liked to mention that Mel Gibson ponied up 25 millionof his own money to make the film, I'm not so sure he did it to make money. Sure the movie grossed nearly 400 million, but that is all in hindsight.
