It has been reported that "Lost" star Evangeline Lilly is the frontrunner for the role of Lois Lane in Bryan Singer's Superman.
Lilly has reportedly met with Singer many times during the past several weeks.

"Sex And The City" star, Kristin Davis, will team up with Tim Allen in Disney's remake of The Shaggy Dog. Brian Robbins (The Perfect Score) will helm the movie.
Davis will play the wife of Allen's character, who is a man that transforms into a sheepdog from time to time.

Julia Roberts will lend her voice to Warner Bros.' and Playtone's Ant Bully, a CGI-animated feature. The picture is written and directed by Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius helmer John Davis.
The project is based on an illustrated children's book by John Nickle about "a mischievous boy who menaces an ant colony and destroys its anthill with his water gun. He's shrunk to insect size and sentenced to hard labor in the colony." Newcomer Zach Tyler will voice the shrunken kid, Lucas Nickle. The film will also include the voices of Shirley MacLaine, Paul Giamatti, Alan Cumming, Cheri Oteri and Ricardo Montalban.

Ryan Reynolds and Willie Nelson have joined the cast of the film adaptation of The Dukes of Hazzard starring Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott. Reynolds will play evil Boss Hogg and Nelson will star as Uncle Jesse. Jessica Simpson will also co-star in the picture as Daisy Duke.
Jay Chandrasekhar (Broken Lizard's Super Troopers, Club Dread) will direct the film for a 2005 release. The original TV show aired on CBS from 1979-1985.

True story based on a man with multiple personalities...
Joel Schumacher is set to direct The Crowded Room, a true story about a man with 24 separate personalities. The film is adapted from the book The Minds of Billy Milligan.
Brad Pitt and Billy Crudup were once attached to star in the film, but as of right now, there is no actor signed to play the male lead.
Milchan and Schumacher have begun the casting process to find a young actor to play the role. At 21, Milligan was arrested and charged with rape, and doctors discovered he had manifested a room full of distinct personalities that ranged from a young female child to a Serb-Croatian immigrant. His illness was attributed to a childhood full of violence and sexual abuse at the hands of his stepfather.

Colin Farrell is in negotiations with Universal Studios to star as Det. James "Sonny" Crockett in Miami Vice. The studio is also in talks with Jamie Foxx to star as Det. Ricardo Tubbs. The film is an updated version of the classic TV show from the 1980s.
Michael Mann, who exec produced the original, is in talks to produce, write, and direct the modern feature.

Basic Instinct 2 is getting closer to happening.
German film fund IMF3 has lent funding to the project's sequel, making it one step closer to being greenlit.
C-2 Pictures' Andy Vajna and Mario Kassar will produce the $70 million dollar budgeted picture, in which Sharon Stone will reprise her role as the dangerous Catherine Trammell. Michael Caton-Jones has taken over directing duties left by Lee Tamahori. A male lead remains to be cast.

Studio narrowing down director choices...
The search for a director for X-Men 3 is not over, but 20th Century Fox has narrowed down their list of potential directors to three people, which remain unnamed. Two out of the three directors have worked with Fox Studios in the past before. Marvel exec Avi Arad has apparently approved of these men. A final decision will be made after presentations to the studio.
Bryan Singer was attached to direct X3 but dropped out to do Superman for Warner Bros. Simon Kinberg is writing the screenplay.
