According to IMDB.com, actor Pierce Brosnan told press at the Irish Film and Television Award ceremony that he’d like to see Colin Ferrell as the next Bond. Last May, Brosnan told the press that Colin wouldn’t make a good choice and tabbed Hugh Jackman or Clive Owen as good replacements. Now, it looks like the Alexander star is in the good graces of Pierce.
Brosnan also told press that he has been in preliminary talks with Quentin Tarrantino about a remake of the very first Bond novel, Casino Royale. He explained, "We have discussed things, Quentin and I, but I don't know if it’s going to be that particular project."
I think Colin would be ok as 007, but I’d give the nod to Owen. You could really get the Bond character closer to the dirty asshole agent he was in the books. It would be a good bridging choice for what we know as James Bond, and the Bond portrayed in the novels.
As far as the Tarrantino remake, why not? He’s done tribute films for just about every other high-violence genre. Why not the spy flicks?

Colin Farrell would make a crap James Bond, he doesn't really have a special accent like the majority of the other actors who have played James Bond.

I'd trust Tarantino on remaking Casino Royale, but Colin Farrel doesn't fit as James Bond. Personally, I could see Christian Bale playing James Bond.

True but if the current Bond backs him... You mean former Bond... but even if Pierce Brosnan puts in a good word for Colin Farrell, nothing will really happen. Pierce is only an actor, its not like he is directing the movie.
