"X-Men" villain gets his own movie....
20th Century Fox has started work on a "X-Men" spin-off featuring Magneto. Sheldon Turner ("Amityville Horror") has been hired to write the screenplay.
The Magneto film will begin early on in Magneto's life, when he was being held at a Nazi concentration camp as a child. He will flirt with being a protagonist for part of the film.
The storyline will heavily involve Professor X, who was a soldier in the allied force that liberated the concentration camps. The professor meets Magneto after the war, and while they bond over the realization that they are alike in their special powers, their differences soon turn them into enemies.

Star is up for the role of Lex Luthor....
Kevin Spacey has confirmed to SciFi.com that he is up for the role of Lex Luthor in the highly delayed "Superman" movie.
"They want me to do it," Spacey told the site. "It's all a matter of scheduling."
Spacey added the following about doing such a big name movie:
"There's kind of a trade-off. You get paid more money when you do those kind of movies. I do more independent movies and I certainly produce more independent movies than big studio films. I want to be in the game, and being in the game allows me to do the other stuff that I want to do. So I'll always try to balance that. 'Superman' is a big franchise; there's no doubt about it."
