Anyone seen this movie? It's been reccommended to me and it sounds good. Aparantly it's being remade (yes...another movie falls victim to the cursed remake) with Edward Norton (though he is a good actor).

Straw Dogs is a slow moving film, but it's a brilliant tale about a man's primal urges, the nature of violence and how it cannot be avoided, and what a man can become in the face of violence. All the actors are fantastic and Hoffman is absolutely great. The direction is also perfect. A must see film, in my opinion.

A violent masterpiece of what could happen if we are pushed to the limits. Very recommended one, with a strange score and an memorable perfomance by Hoffman.

This is probably one of the most pivotal movies of it's kind. I would avoid any remake at any cost and it is still unique today.
