According to the movie, he killed his brother and some chick. He also dug up graves and wore the skin. According to real life, they think that he killed his brother, but youd need a little background on him(Ed) first though, his mom she was really religious and all, she would tell him(Ed) that women are demons or devils or somthing like that, but yet his mother(of course) was a woman, well this confused him a little, which is one of the factors of why i think he went crazy. Well anyways, he nevertheless, loved his mother very much. And Ed brother, he wasnt too fond of her, and he told Ed that multiple times, and of course Ed didnt take very kindly to it. so one day they were trying to put out a fire when they were little kids(or something like that), when the fire was put out, they found Eds brother dead, he had severe blows to the head and trama(or somthing like that), almost as if someone had beated him to death; but the police made up some other excuse for it(thought i dont remember what it was now) and closed the case. Thats the story of his brother if i remember right. He did kill that chick too, and he did grave rob and wear the skins, even his moms.

He had a sort of "love but subconciously hate" relationship with his mother, reminiscent of Norman Bates in Psycho.

It wasn't all about Ed, it was a cannibal themed murderer show that went for 30 mins. It belongs to some History channel series.

Not so long ago my younger brother also thought that police footage was real, and that the story of the film was real, and my god did i clamp him up. The footage could not be any faker. And as for ed gein well, he was one sordid guy, their is even evidence pointing towards ed gein that he actually killed his brother and that his brother did not die in an accident, their is suposdly proof that his brother was bludgeoned to death before he died in a fire or something.

Well, hell. The movie seemed pretty tame compared to the shit you guys say he did. Plus, he looked like a weakling, that might have been why he mainly dug up and desecrated bodies rather than living humans.
