The Ultimate FE Top 50 Villains of All-Time!!!!

OK herw we go. Rumble started a thread talking about crazymofo's top 50 villains.... But who's FE's top 50?

Well using the same criteria: power, intelligence, vileness, intimidation, purity and appearence; let's come up with a FE list.

Everyone come up with a top 50 of your own. Order will matter as I will eventually take everyone's list, score them (#1 = 50 points, #50 = 1 point, etc.), and come up with a FE Top 50 Villains list. This should be fun. I'll keep this open until the end of November. After that, I'll lock it and begin tabulating.

50. Clarence Boddicker- Robocop
This is a straightforward example a great baddie. There is absolutely nothing redeemable about him whatsoever, and it doesn’t bug him at all.
49. Jigsaw- Saw
The traps Jigsaw makes are terrifying enough, but his disguises (the dummy, the pig mask) are frightening as well. He’s also most dangerous when he’s down…….
48. Jame Gumb- Silence of the Lambs
What makes Buffalo Bill so scary is the fact he’s so real.
47. Jack Torrance- The Shining
HERE’S JOHNNY!
46. Norman Stansfield- The Professional
Not only is he a dirty DEA agent, but he has no morals or ethical principles whatsoever.
45. Commodus- Gladiator
Commodus had Maximus’s family murdered, offered murder as entertainment, and desired to have a child with his sister.
44. Baby Jane Hudson- Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?
Simply frightening, both in appearance and actions. Just creepy.
43. Predator- Predator
Gee, what would happen if an alien did the same thing to humans as humans do to game animals?
42. Hans Gruber- Die Hard
Here’s a man willing to kill tons of people just for cover.
41. The Terminator- The Terminator
“You don’t get it, do you? He’ll find her! That’s what he does! That’s all he does!”<br>40. Michael Myers- Halloween
Described by John Carpenter as “the stand in for evil,” Michael is a pure, simple force of evil.
39. John Doe- Se7en
He’s so quiet and calm, and that’s what makes him creepy. Plus the way he kills is absolutely frightening.
38. Alonzo Harris- Training Day
Denzel Washington’s performance is great, but the character is absolutely detestable. A truly hateful force.
37. Verbal Kint- The Usual Suspects
This is a small man with a limp, yet he became one of the most feared people ever. His power came from his "Urban Legends" he spread.
36. Alex Forrest- Fatal Attraction
At first, you feel bad for her. But just at first.
35. Ash- Alien
Programed to sacrifice a ship’s crew so an alien can be brought back for study, he admires the alien.
34. Leatherface- The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
He wears masks of human flesh, makes furniture out of bones, and eats humans. Elevating to an even more frightening level is his realism.
33. Carter Burke- Aliens
A man willing to kill a woman and a child to get a horrifically dangerous organism for the Bio Weapons division is a true bastard.
32. Daryl Revok- Scanners
His powers are a force to be reckoned with, just watch the head exploding scene. He is also a unique figure as far as villains go, plus Michael Ironside’s performance is perfect.
31. Joan Crawford- Mommy Dearest
Faye Dunaway’s performance is absolutely horrifying. Not to mention the fact that it’s a completely true story.
30. Dr. Fruedstein- House by the Cemetery
Just watch the way he kills the woman stuck in the floor. He purposely drags it out and makes it as painful as possible. Besides being totally sick, Fruedstein is one of the scariest looking bad guys ever.
29. Dracula- Bram Stoker’s Dracula
Not only is he incredibly powerful, but he’ll also do absolutely anything. The sympathy factor is also a nice touch.
28. Freddy Krueger- A Nightmare on Elm Street
Before he became a “jokester”, Freddy was truly scary and imposing. He also has the ability to do anything in the dream world, so you are never sure what is dream or reality.
27. The Gimp- Pulp Fiction
In that scene in the pawn shop, you’d feel bad for anyone in Marsellus’s position.
26. The Thing- The Thing
The thing can be anyone or anything, so you’re never safe.
25. Annie Wilkes- Misery
This is a completely mad woman. And you join Paul through his slow discovery she is completely insane. Not to mention Kathy Bates’ performance is amazing.
24. Pumpkinhead- Pumpkinhead
Pumpkinhead is scary because he is you. He’s all your feelings of hatred and revenge set free.
23. Tall Man- Phantasm
The Tall Man is an ultimate Boogeyman figure. He doesn’t need dialogue to be scary.
22. Candyman- Candyman
Candyman is a tragic figure. His very image is imposing and horrific. The story reminiscent of The Phantom of the Opera is interesting, and the imagery is powerful.
21. Dr. Channard- Hellbound: Hellraiser II
Dr. Channard is a highly regarded person, but in reality Channard is more twisted and mentally perverted then any of his patients. Leviathan grants him his powers, and Channard’s true form is brought to the surface.
20. Dr. Szell- Marathon Man
I believe 3 words say it all: “Is it safe?”<br>19. The Joker- Batman
The Joker, in his most vile acts, is also at his funniest. Throughout the scene with the fried corpse, you are unsure whether to laugh or be disgusted.
18. Reagan- The Exorcist
An innocent girl possessed and turned into an evil force, what Reagan says and does is etched into your brain.
17. Pinhead- Hellraiser
Completely horrific and appearance, seeing what Pinhead is nothing compared to what he’ll do to you. “We have such sights to show you.”<br>16. The Shark- Jaws
Buh-Duh. Buh-Duh.
15. HAL 9000- 2001: A Space Odyssey
The voice of HAL is utterly creepy and emotionless, and creates an imposing character that has no physical form.
14. Seth Brundle- The Fly
Sympathetic villains can be the most effective, and Seth Brundle proves it. His slow degeneration is horrifying, and his final plan is insane.
13. Damien- The Omen
The son of the devil in the form of an innocent little boy is frightening enough, but he can kill his enemies and have it look like accidents.
12. Travis Bickle- Taxi Driver
Robert DeNiro’s performance is amazing, and Bickle almost seems justified in some of his actions.
11. Andre Linoge- Storm of the Century
Colm Feore’s performance is completely chilling. His knowledge of everyone’s secrets make him capable of humiliating and horrifying his victims.
10. Mr. Blonde- Reservoir Dogs
What makes Mr. Blonde so effective is the fact you like him. And throughout the whole “Ear Scene”, you are tempted to laugh with him.
9. Count Orlock- Nosferatu
Probably the most creepy image of a villain ever created, Count Orlock is absolutely horrific, and any frame of him on celluloid is creepy as hell.
8. Carrie- Carrie
Carrie is so sympathetic that I’m not even sure whether to really call her a villain. She’s the girl that everyone makes fun of. We’ve all known someone like her, and this is very much a revenge experience.
7. Invisible Man- Invisible Man
Claude Rains performance here is completely manic and insane, and when you hear that laugh in an empty room, you know he’s there.
6. Pennywise- Stephen King’s It
Clowns are scary. Just watch the very first scene in this film and you’ll agree.
5. The Alien- Alien
H.R. Giger’s design for the alien is absolutely nightmarish. Scott’s direction makes it even more terrifying due to his use of quick flashes.
4. Preacher Harry Powell- Night of the Hunter
Robert Mitchum portrayed the first Boogeyman figure of cinema in a wholly amazing fashion. Not to mention the words written on his hands.
3. Norman Bates- Psycho
“A boy’s best friend is his mother.”<br>2. Darth Vader- Star Wars
Darth Vader is all about imposing. His mask, his black costume, and his heavy breathing easily make him one of the most recognizable villains ever.
1. Hannibal Lecter- Silence of the Lambs
His personality seems reminiscent of an English gentleman, but he is far more deranged. He is also one of the most intelligent villains ever.

Here's descriptions of the criteria (taken from crazymofo.com):

Intelligence: Knowledge and Strategy
This is one of the more straightforward categories...
How smart is the villain?
Is he/she hatching diabolical plans that make sense?
Do he/she frequently outsmart the hero?
There are many evil geniuses out there and this is where they score points.
10 = A Complete Genius, a Mastermind
1 = Dumber than a Bowl of Oatmeal

Power: Physical and Magical
Does the villain possess great strength? Superhuman strength? Supernatural strength?
This category is all about the stuff villains can do physically when they attack others.
We're not only looking at muscle, but dexterity and skill as well.
When figuring out this score, remember villains can also possess magical/spritual powers.
10 = Can use The Force to choke people
1 = A physical disaster, complete lack of strength

VILENESS: Quality and Quantity
Small children. Little puppies. Entire planets. If your villain enjoys destroying these things, you've got a VILE one.
Real villains take pleasure in the destruction of all sorts of things the average person would rather not think about.
Also, the methods of killing are important. Torturing people is definitely a point-getter here.
Similar to PURITY, however VILENESS measures how repulsed we are to their crimes.
10 = Eats babies and destroys entire solar systems at will
1 = Has regret issues and loves his Mom

Sway: Charisma & Intimidation
The best villains are always able to get their way.
Some will use their charm to disarm people before they slice their throats.
Others let their bark do their talking before they bite.
Simply put, villains who say the right thing and/or mentally get you to do what they want score big points here.
10 = "I am altering the deal. Pray I don't alter it any further."
1 = Annoying pain in the ass; whines like a damn baby

Purity: Consumption by Evil
Villains willing to commit any and all crimes score well here.
Characters who are "programmed" to commit evil (or totally insane) score very well.
Similar to VILENESS, however PURITY measures how willing they are to commit their crimes instead of how bad the crimes are.
10 = One thing on their mind: evil, chaos, and destruction. Alright, three things.
1 = "You're a goody little two-shoes, goody little two-shoes..."

Physical: The Evil Look
One of the more superficial categories but still important.
The best villains always look great, usually even better than the hero.
Do they have a bad ass costume? Or can they change their appearance to help their cause?
Shape-shifters score very well here, as do villains that make you squeamish just by looking at them.
10 = The sight of this villain sends people running in terror
1 = The sight of this villain makes people erupt in laughter

Well, your list is less limited to horror film villains than others, and is incredibly diverse. Plus it's good to see some lesser known evils on the list, like Fruedstein and Krug. F-Wise's looks interesting, too.
