Here's the poster for "Boogeyman." While the poster is decent, if you ask me, this looks reaaaaaaaally similar to the god awful dissapointments "Darkness Falls" and "They", also about a men tarumentized when they were young by "child fears." This one looks like it's on the way to sucksville to me. Here's the trailer. www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/boogeyman/

It looks decent and Raimi's directing, so it should be good.

Is this the Stephen King Boogeyman?

It looks decent and Raimi's directing, so it should be good. Raimi's not directing. He's actually producing with Rob Tapert. I've lost all faith in him anyway after this "blasphemous" Evil Dead remake idea. And no, it isn't the Stephen King Boogeyman.

I lost faith in him after the Grudge remake. I thought it would be a great horror film with raimi attached.

By the way Bub, you sure say "decent" alot. lol He uses that word more that I do? Damn, he must use it a lot then. Oh, and I forgot to mention, I think that I saw this trailer off of some site before, though I'm not totally sure which one it was. It looks like it might just be a ok or 'decent'( ) time waster... nothing much more, and probaly nothing much less.

Back on topic.......
........I think the film will mostly get so so reviews and reaction from fans and horror reviewers. Frankly, the PG-13 horror flick situation is getting out of control.

Well, 3 is a bit low I think... I mean it partially depends on what you consider a horror movie... but here's some released this year off the top of my head...
"The Village" "Van Helsing" "The Grudge" "Darkness" (not released yet) "The Phantom of the Opera" (not released yet)
that's five (not including the film OF this thread: "Boogeymen") off the top of my head, and I'm sure it's probably much more.... I agree with Bub: the PG-13 horror film craze is getting a little lame...
