Having never seen the remake, I cant comment. But I am getting the 2 disc colecctors edition AND the special edition of the original tomorrow for 30$ at Best Buy! Good deal! Go get it! (Yu can also get the 1-disc version of the remake and the special edition original for 25$)

I haven't seen the remake, but having heard Jessica Biel (!) cuts off Leatherface's arm, I lean towards the original.

I bnelieve I did see it....but a really long time ago...Leatherfaces goofy dance is the only part I really remember  also TCM: Next Generation I saw a long time ago....is part 2 and 3 any good? |

I would go with the remake, i was simply more entertained throughout the remake more than the original.

Just got the 2 disc 2003 version and the special edition 1974 version at Best Buy! ;D Believe me it is well worth the 30$ go buy it!

Wow! I just watched both of these back to back and they were incredible...still the "remake" (i use the term loosely) was marginally better i thought. * hey whaddya know. She DID hack his arm off! |

That was the only problem with the remake, but i was cool that we got to see Leatherface's face.
